Privacy Policy

Quivo ("Quivo", "we", "us") is a voice-notes app that records audio, transcribes it, and organizes the results into an inbox of notes. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have. By using Quivo you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Information we collect

• Audio recordings. When you record a note, the audio file is uploaded to our cloud storage so it can be transcribed and so you can play it back.
• Transcriptions & note content. The text produced from your audio, plus any titles, edits, folders, and threads derived from it.
• Derived data. Machine-generated data created to organize your notes, including numerical embeddings and automatic classifications/labels.
• Account & identity. An anonymous account identifier is created when you first open the app. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifier (and, where you permit it, the email/name) those services share so we can link your notes to your account across devices.
• Subscription & purchase data. If you subscribe, our payments partner records your subscription status and purchase history. We never receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled by Apple/Google.
• Usage & device data. Basic technical information such as app version, device type, and event/error logs used to operate and debug the service.

Quivo is not designed to collect sensitive personal information. Please avoid recording highly sensitive details (e.g. government IDs, health, financial account numbers) in your notes.

How we use your information

• To record, transcribe, structure, and store your notes.
• To automatically group related notes into folders and threads.
• To sync your notes to your account and provide playback.
• To process subscriptions and provide paid features.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your notes to train our own advertising or marketing profiles.

Service providers who process your data

We rely on the following processors. Your data is shared with them only to deliver Quivo's features, and they are bound by their own privacy and security terms:

• Supabase — cloud database, authentication, and storage of your recordings and notes.
• Groq — speech-to-text transcription of your audio recordings.
• OpenAI — generates text embeddings used to organize your notes.
• Anthropic — classifies and structures your note text into folders/threads.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status and entitlements.
• Apple & Google — sign-in and in-app purchase/billing.

Our AI processors (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic) act as data processors for the transcription and organization features and, per their API terms, do not use data submitted through their APIs to train their models.

Retention & deletion

We keep your recordings, transcriptions, and notes for as long as your account is active so the app stays usable across sessions and devices. You can delete individual notes within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, email aaronananh@gmail.com from the address linked to your account (or include your account identifier) and we will delete it within a reasonable period.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with our cloud providers using access controls that restrict each account to its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in the United States and other countries. By using Quivo you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in these locations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact aaronananh@gmail.com. We do not sell personal information.

Children

Quivo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Quivo, contact us and we will delete the data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Quivo after changes means you accept the revised policy.
